Itinerary: Vason, Monte Bondone, Brenta Adamello Dolomites
Monte Bondone, a Ski Resort in Trentino, Italy
Monte Bondone is a ski resort in Trentino. It is only 15 kilometers away from the city of Trento so you can easily get there by car or by public transportation. Also, this area has a historical importance since in 1934 the first ski-lift system of Trentino was built here.
Vason, the hamlet where the slopes start from, is equipped with hotels, restaurants, and cafes. The top of the mountain offers a breathtaking all-round view on the surrounding areas and on Brenta Adamello Dolomites.
This modern and family-friendly ski resort has a good network of chairlifts that covers about 20 kilometers of slopes on different sides of the mountain. The area also includes one of the best fun snowparks in the Alps and a cross-country skiing area that extends to the resort of Viote, with 37 kilometers of trails and with different ranges of difficulty.
A snowmaking system with a 100% coverage ensures a complete fun on the snow for young people and families. Speaking of that, there is a beautiful ski school and a ski kindergarten in Vason, so that children can learn about ski-related activities with fun and in safety.
Expert skiers should try the slope of Gran Pista (Grand Slope): it is a descent with a vertical drop thrill, and it is ranked among the 100 best ski slopes in the world.
Also, some of the slopes such as Diagonale Pontesel, Lavaman, Cordela, and the snowpark are open twice a week at night during the winter season, so that people can enjoy a magical ski experience under the stars.
The ski area of Monte Bondone is part of the "Skirama Adamello Brenta Dolomites". This wide area is located on the western side of the province of Trento where skiers are allowed to ski on more than 380 kilometers of beautiful slopes in different ski areas purchasing a single ski pass only.
