Umbria is located in central Italy. Its territory composed mainly of lush rolling hills and mountains. The Apennine Mountains rises here to over 2400 meters (Mt. Vettore).
Umbria has beautiful countryside, vineyards, archaeological sites (including Etruscan), hilltop villages and six national parks.
Perugia is the capital of Umbria, a cultural center with University. The town of Assisi lies on the slopes of Mount Subasio about 400 meters height. Orvieto was founded by the Etruscans and it is built on a tufa rock.
