One of the most productive and fertile regions of Italy, Emilia Romagna lies in the central-northern part of the Italian "boot", and it is delimited by river Po, the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea.

Whatever you are a fan of, Emilia Romagna is the perfect region for everybody, as it includes the excellence of arts, architecture, nature, culture, and food. Many parks and reserves, along with some wellness centers like Salsomaggiore, are for those who love nature and wellness.

Many cities retain the best of architecture, history and culture, both at a religious and non-religious level: Bologna and its Asinelli Tower that allows you to have an all-round view of the city; the UNESCO site of Ferrara with its amazing palaces and Castello Estense, or enchanting Ravenna, the city of mosaics: each city has something unique to offer!

Sport aficionados will love visiting Maranello and the Ferrari museum, or Imola with its famous racetrack.

Finally, Emilia Romagna is a great place when it comes to seaside: the famous Riviera Romagnola, with some nice town like Rimini, Riccione, Cesenatico, Milano Marittima and Cattolica, is well-equipped and ready to welcome young people, families and older people with lots of different services and big smiles.

Food & Wine : this region's cuisine is one of the best and most complete ones in Italy. Parma and Reggio Emilia are the cities where worldwide-famous Parma ham and parmesan cheese were born. Bologna is the homeland of mortadella, often used to stuff an amazing type of bread called 'piadina'. Erbazzone is a sort of spinach quiche made in Piacenza, while the typical food of the Valleys of Comacchio is the eel.

Different kinds of pasta, like tagliatelle or stuffed tortellini, were born here and are often accompanied with ragù, which is known all over the world as Bolognese sauce. Taste it with one of the local wines - Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Trebbiano - and you will never want to leave!
