Veneto is located in the northeast of Italy and it stretches from the Adriatic Sea to Austria. Its capital is Venice, the city of the Doges, unique in the world, built on water and rich in artistic heritage. Also world-famous for its Carnival. Undoubtedly, Venice will offer you great scenery, history, art, and culture.

South Veneto is composed by a large flat land with many rivers, most of them flow into the Adriatic Sea in a large delta of 100 km. To the west, there is Lake Garda one of the most beautiful lakes in the country. The most remarkable geographical aspect is definitely the Lagoon of Venice. While in the northwest rise the Alps, the plateau of Asiago and the majestic Dolomites.

Food & Wine: 'The Soave': one of the most popular Italian dry white wines, it ranks third after Chianti and Asti Spumante; - 'The Valpolicella' is a generous and fruity red wine, it is the fourth among the Italian DOCs wines with more than 30 million liters per year; - 'The Amarone' is a generous, powerful, rich and complex red wine with a spicy bouquet. It can age more than 15 years; - 'Bardolino" is a red wine from the shores of Lake Garda; - 'Bianco di Custoza DOC' is a dry white wine that is very popular in northern Italy; - 'Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene' a white wine, almost always sparkling, dry or sweet.

The cuisine of Veneto may be divided into three categories: the plains, the mountains, and the coastal ones, - all with many local cuisines. 'Bigoli' (a bit thicker than spaghetti), - 'Pasta and fasoi', - 'Risotto al radicchio', 'Gnocchi' (potatoes made fresh pasta, small dumplings) - 'Polenta' (cooked in various ways), - Seafood dishes, - Grilled meat, - Liver Venetian, - Strudel (Austrian cake).
